JH Votes Yes

A group of community members has recently formed a PAC, ‘Jackson Hole Votes YES!’ to advocate for keeping the community in Jackson Hole -- building the town and county we as locals want to live, work and raise our families in – by supporting the full slate of projects proposed on the 2019 SPET ballot.

Each item on the SPET ballot directly supports important items the Jackson community has repeatedly said they value – safety, health, environmental sustainability, housing and wildlife.

PAC Chairs include Joni Upsher, Lauren Dickey and Mike Welch, who see this as an opportunity to educate voters and encourage them to support community values in November.

Town of Jackson Downtown Water Quality Improvement Infrastructure – Cache Creek Project

$2,000,000.00 for acquiring land, obtaining easements, planning, designing, engineering and constructing the Cache Creek Project.

This project includes updating the half-mile tube that runs under downtown Jackson to protect and improve stormwater quality prior to its entering Flat Creek, as well as preventing uncontrolled and untreated discharge of potentially polluted run-off into Flat Creek. This project is sponsored by the Town of Jackson.

From JH Votes Yes

Vote YES for our environment.

Safeguarding Teton County’s water and preventing contamination is a shared community value that benefits families, businesses, wildlife and our local ecosystem. The funding of the Cache Creek Project will protect and improve stormwater quality prior to its entering Flat Creek and prevent uncontrolled and untreated discharge of potentially polluted run-off. The Town has already invested significantly in this project and, with the help of SPET funds, will be able to see it through to completion.
