JH Votes Yes

A group of community members has recently formed a PAC, ‘Jackson Hole Votes YES!’ to advocate for keeping the community in Jackson Hole -- building the town and county we as locals want to live, work and raise our families in – by supporting the full slate of projects proposed on the 2019 SPET ballot.

Each item on the SPET ballot directly supports important items the Jackson community has repeatedly said they value – safety, health, environmental sustainability, housing and wildlife.

PAC Chairs include Joni Upsher, Lauren Dickey and Mike Welch, who see this as an opportunity to educate voters and encourage them to support community values in November.

$10,000,000.00 for purchasing land, obtaining easements, planning, designing, and constructing wildlife crossing structures of various types and locations identified in the Teton County Wildlife Crossings Master Plan. The funds may also be used to provide other measures to reduce vehicle collisions with wildlife, including but not limited to, signage, safe lighting, wildlife detection systems, fencing, and other protective measures. This project is sponsored by Teton County.

From JH Votes Yes

Vote YES for wildlife.

Vehicle and wildlife collisions are a tragic part of our lives here in Teton County. However, the construction of multiple underpasses and overpasses throughout the county, as well as additional signage, safe lighting, wildlife detection systems and fencing, can help protect wildlife and keep commuters safe while reducing animal and human fatalities.
